Near Hotel

Hotel Koch is set in a very quiet part of Kętrzyn, but still very easy to visit on foot from all areas in the town. A 10-15 minute walk brings you into the old center. Here, one can view the impressive Teutonic Castle- a great 14th-century brick fortress which presently accommodates as a museum, city library, as well as galleries, and the castle being only a step from the magnificent St. George's Basilica- this Gothic church can also be visited. The walk is safe and you see people going about their lives: great for visiting a charming Polish town.

For dining and daily needs, the property’s walkability is great. The hotel has a very good restaurant of its own but, in 10-15 minutes’ walk, you can be to the town square which has other options like pizzerias or local cafes. There are a number of small stores and Biedronka supermarket within a similar walk distance as well thus providing an ideal place to pick up snacks or supplies.

To add on-there is quite a small and nice Górne Lake very near to the hotel. To reach its shore will hardly take a short walk, and that would then add up as a really great place for having some quiet time. The mainline stations are about 1 kilometer from here-which means a 15-20 minutes walk in case one is not carrying much load. The hotel, hence, becomes a very handy center to vividly explore the town on foot and its immediate surrounding as well.
